In the Short-term Israel Medical Mission Trip 2022, God allowed us to serve 375 people and lead 28 individuals to accept Christ as their Savior. Through that experience, we gained a clearer understanding of the needs for pain relief among local Jewish survivors, Chinese workers, and residents, as well as their thirst for the Gospel.

In light of this, we have arranged the 2nd Short-term Israel Medical Mission Trip, which will take place from November 28th to December 11th. Whether you are a Chinese medicine practitioner, masseur, pain therapist, Western doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or other supporting personnel, we need you. We hope you can join our serving team and offer your time and abilities to the Lord. If you are unable to participate, we kindly ask for your prayers for this mission event, praying that the Lord will provide sufficient workers and maintain stability in the local political situation.

The pain relief training program has been held for multiple sessions. As the participants of the training program are all learning with the purpose of local and overseas missions, we make every effort to arrange opportunities for them to participate in local church mission work. Currently, we have arranged for students to engage in a massage care event held on the third Saturday of each month at the Shau Kei Wan Church. They provide massage therapy to elderly friends, neighbors, and church members in the area who are experiencing pain. During the event, the church also assigns caring ambassadors to provide personal assistance.

To equip more workers to serve in mission areas, we have established an auxiliary therapy class focusing on acupuncture and moxibustion. The class teaches participants non-invasive treatment methods to help patients alleviate physical pain. The content includes techniques such as vacuum cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, and electronic therapy devices. Dr. Tsang provides detailed explanations, and during the process, the students serve as practice subjects for each other, benefiting greatly from the hands-on experience.

The Second Israel Short-Term Medical Mission, originally scheduled to depart on November 28th, has been canceled due to the current situation in Israel. However, after God closed this door, He opened another one for us. Our team of 10 medical and support personnel will now be serving in Izmir and the earthquake-stricken areas of Hatay in Turkey. These two service locations are quite far apart, so the team will first travel to Istanbul and then take a connecting flight to Izmir, the first service point. After four days of service in Izmir, they will need to spend a full day traveling by various means of transportation to reach Hatay. Please pray for the health and well-being of the participants, and may the Lord use them greatly to lead many people to Him!
